Fiber Optic Cable: Part 5 - Loose Tube Cable

Loose Tube cables are most outside plant loose tube construction. Each tube contains up to 12 fibers. A central strength member gives more resistance to deformation. Most cables will be loose tube gel or powder watre-blocker.
